A quick update about our Sr. Thursday Morning league.

Thursday morning Senior men games will start on May 25. Tee times are
scheduled from 9 am to 10:10 am. Spare players are needed to play when full
time players are away. Please register at the clubhouse if you would like to be a
spare. There is no cost to be a spare.

If any full-time player drops out then the position will be offered to those spares
that have indicated they would like to play full time. This will be decided by a
draw to see who gets the spot. If you are interested in being a spare then please
sign up at the clubhouse with your name, e-mail address and telephone number.
Also indicate if you would like to play full-time. Deadline is Monday, May 22 by 6
pm to get your information in. Questions may be submitted to Steven Nesbitt at
[email protected].

Course Conditions

Thank you everyone for your understanding with the course not having carts and the range being closed over the past week. The course saw a lot of rainfall last weekend and with the week’s cold damp temperatures it did not allow for drying. We did see a ton of drying over the past two days but anyone who played can agree that the course was still very wet in spots. We are going to leave the carts off the course again today as the weather looks cold and rainy but we hope to start this week off fresh with both carts and the driving range returning. Here’s to hoping today’s rain is not too bad or just misses us!!!

Course Update

The April Showers have continued right into May!! With what seems like nothing but cold rainy days over the past 2 weeks, the course has received upwards of 60mm of water.

The course will remain closed to all play today due to standing water, but we do plan to reopen tomorrow to walkers. The weekend forecast does look beautiful but we don’t believe we will see enough drying to have carts ready to go. Please continue to follow our Social media pages and the tee sheet for updates on carts.

Tee sheet

We have had some calls about people struggling with the app. I am going to answer these questions now.

Is it the same login info as prior year?

Yes if you have been a member in the prior two seasons your information and log in has not changed. If you have forgotten your password please either use the forgot password option or contact me and I can send you a reset password link.

Certain members are registering as not a member when I try to add them to my time, why is this?

This is because you are only using the recent guest feature and the player you are selecting changed their email with us, (created a new account). Their old account is showing in your recent players list even though that account is not a functioning member. Please use the members list to the right of recent players and search for their name adding them to your time.

I am a member but when I try to make a tee time it says I am not?

This has only happened to players who have made an email change with us, and have their old login information saved to the app or website. To fix the problem please fully log out of Chronogolf and log in with the new email you have provided.

The tee sheet shows only 2 players in a tee time but when I try to book in the remaining 2 open spots it says the time is full?

This is because you have 4 players selected in your tee time making process. If you change the number of players to 2 or 1 you will be able to book in the open spots in that tee time. On the app this can be located on the top left corner. You will see 4 dots and a number with a pull down arrow, click that and change to the desired number of players. On the website when you click your desired time you can’t miss the option to edit players with the pop up in the middle of the screen.

I can’t add a public player to my tee times?

This is also solved in the same spot as editing the number of players. Click on the dots at the top left corner and edit the player type from member to public and you’re good to go.

I hope this helps but if you need more assistance don’t be afraid to call myself or the pro shop team and we will help you through it.

Cheers

With the cold weather and light dustings of snow early this week, we have seen the course closed for play. We are hoping to see play resume today with temperatures back on the rise, but it does looks like it will be a slow rise and the course will remain closed until about 12pm. Please follow our Facebook, or Instagram pages, or call the Pro-shop for opening updates and details.

Lockers

There has been a high request for lockers this season and as always we will give first priority to those who had lockers the prior season. We will hold these spot until May 1st, before we start giving lockers out to our waitlisted members. If you had a locker last season and wish to retain it please get in before the May 1st deadline to secure your spot or risk there not being availability.

Cobra Fitting Day

We will be hosting our first outdoor fitting day of the season on Wednesday April 26th. Anyone interested in trying out the new 2023 AeroJet line up or having themselves professionally fit please schedule a time in the Pro-shop. Team Cobra will be on the range that day from 11am-5pm, ready to help you with all your needs.

Opening week!!!

What an amazing week of weather. The fake summer in April gave us 4 perfect days to open before reality slipped back in today with white stuff on the ground this morning. The course will remain closed today with the weather but will be back open tomorrow when we return to more seasonal conditions.

Upcoming events

Next week on April 25th we will see our Ladies Social Night from 6pm-8pm. All ladies are welcome to come out and receive information on the 2023 ladies league.

Our Men’s League will begin on Wednesday May 10th!! Registration is now open and can be done at the Pro-shop counter. Cost this season is $60 which includes the 16 weeks of league play and year end week with dinner. Registration deadline for the league will be May 3th.

Lastly yesterday we released our 2023 meet the staff video. We absolutely loved putting this together in the style of a 90’s sitcom. If you haven’t already seen it on Facebook or Instagram I have attached the link for viewing.

It’s Here, It’s Here!!!!! What a week of weather we have ahead.

Although the last few weeks have seen mass amounts of rain that would normally keep us soaked and off the course in the early Spring, our drainage project from last season has been working wonders and the forecast this week will have us out preparing the course for Opening day with usual winter debris clean up and first cuts!!

Now that I’ve said the word Opening and got your attention. When will that great day be?

This Thursday!!!!!!! Yes you read that correct. The course has wintered great, is drying up and will be ready for play this Thursday April 13th. Our Tee sheet will be going live Tomorrow morning April 11th at 8am for online booking and staff will also be in the pro shop for those who wish to stop in and make a time in person or over the phone.

I am hopeful that come Thursday carts will also be on the course but I will make that announcement closer to opening day.

The range will also remained closed until we can get the lift truck in to put up the safety netting on Borden St. but we hope to see it open very soon.

I look forward to seeing everyone in the coming days and also sharing our fresh new look in the clubhouse.

Cheers

With that being said, we will be having our Ladies League Social/Information night on April 25th. Anyone looking for information prior to the night or who can not attend please email [email protected] for an information form.

Our Junior Camp information is also now available on the website. This season the camp will move to a full day camp, as we have teamed up with the Stratford Lawn Bowling Club. The camp will included daily golf lessons, 9 holes, lunch provided by the course, lawn bowling lessons and play time. The camp will run from July 17th to the 21st from 9am to 3pm. Registration is now open to all members and will open to the public on April 2nd. Cost is $350 for the week and you can email [email protected] to register or for more information.

Hope to be golfing soon.
