Men’s and Ladies’ Leagues Kick Off:

Our men’s and ladies’ leagues have officially begun, and what a start it’s been! We’ve seen some impressive golfing talent on display and enjoyed the friendly competition and camaraderie that make our leagues so special. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store!

Ladies’ League Update:

Ladies, you’ve shown us your dedication to the game with an overwhelming response to our league registration. With a whopping 127 ladies signed up, our ladies’ league is now closed and full. Thank you to everyone who registered – it’s going to be an incredible season on the course! For those who submitted your scorecard to be part of the season long RingerBoard, thank you and I look forward to sharing some results when we get a few more rounds counting towards that 9 hole score.

Men’s League BBQ Returns:

Gentlemen, get ready for some mouthwatering BBQ! Our men’s league is back and better than ever, offering the BBQ portion that we’ve all missed since Covid. Club Opening Scramble Rescheduled:

Due to forecasted inclement weather and low participation, we’ve made the decision to reschedule our Club Opening Scramble for Saturday, June 22nd. We hope this change will allow more people to support this exciting event. Plus, stay tuned for an added bonus – we’ll be looking to add a music night for some post-event entertainment!

Greens Aeration:

In other news, our greens underwent aeration yesterday. This essential cultural practice is vital for maintaining the health and quality of our greens throughout the summer months. It’s one of the many reasons why we’re proud to offer the best greens around!

Locker Availability:

Our locker hold period is now over, and we’re excited to announce that we’re working through the waitlist to provide lockers to those who want one. If you’re interested in securing a locker, please visit the pro shop to get yours today! If you had a locker last season and have yet to pay for your locker, hurry in as it might be gone soon.

As we resume these services, we want to emphasize the importance of responsible usage to ensure the continued health and integrity of our course and facilities.

Carts Back on Course:

With the course conditions improving, carts have returned to The Muni for your convenience. However, we must stress the importance of driving responsibly to avoid any damage to the course. Due to the lingering water and soft conditions, drivers are kindly reminded to avoid driving erratically and to remain on cart paths for their entirety. We also ask that you remain to the right of the stakes on hole 3 at all times. Your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines is crucial in preserving the quality of our course for all players to enjoy.

Driving Range Reopened:

We’re also excited to reopen our driving range for practice sessions! Whether you’re warming up before a round or fine-tuning your swing, our driving range provides the perfect opportunity to hone your skills. However, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all users, we ask that you please stay between the hitting markers and on the mats at all times today. This helps prevent damage to the wet, soft turf and maintains a safe and organized practice area for everyone to enjoy.

Respectful Usage:

While we’re thrilled to reintroduce these services, we need your help in ensuring they remain available for all players to enjoy. Please be respectful of the course and facilities by following the guidelines outlined above.

While Mother Nature decided to drop an inch of rain on us last night, we will still be open for walking only! Due to the inclement weather conditions, we’ve made the decision to temporarily close the practice facility and keep carts off the course.

Walking Golfers Welcome:

Even though carts are off the course for the day, we invite all walking golfers to come and enjoy a round of golf at The Muni. Lace up your golf shoes (rubber boots), grab your clubs, and hit the greens as the afternoon looks like it will be sunny and warm for a round of golf.

Ladies Night Social Still On:

We’re thrilled to announce that our Ladies Night Social is still on schedule for tonight at 6pm in the clubhouse! Despite the weather, we’re looking forward to bringing our female golfers together for an evening of information, camaraderie, and laughter. Unfortunately, today’s Cobra fitting day has been canceled due to the closure of the practice facility. But don’t fret – we’re already working on rescheduling this exciting event. Get ready to tee off another exciting season at The Muni by joining one of our popular golf leagues! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, our leagues offer a fantastic opportunity to enjoy friendly competition, build camaraderie, and improve your game. Here’s everything you need to know about our upcoming leagues:

Men’s League:

Our Men’s League is back and better than ever! Players will be placed on 10 teams and compete weekly for glory on the greens. The tee sheet will be blocked every Wednesday from 2pm to 7:00pm for Men members but players will have the week to submit their league scores. The league will run from May 8th to August 28th. Registration is now open at the pro shop desk, with a cost of $75 per player. Don’t delay – the registration deadline is April 27th!

Ladies’ League:

Calling all ladies! Join us for a social and information night on April 30th at 6:30pm in the clubhouse to kick off our Ladies’ League. The league officially begins on May 7th, running until August 27th and is open to both members and non-members. The tee sheet will be blocked for league play every Tuesday from 2:30pm to 6:30pm. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow golfers and enjoy a fun-filled season on the course!

Senior League:

Attention club members! Our Senior League is gearing up for another great season starting on May 30th. Mark your calendars for exhibition games on May 16th and 23rd to warm up before the official start. Registration is now open, with a deadline of May 9th. We regret to inform you that The Muni will not be opening for the 2024 season this weekend, due to heavy rains and course flooding. The safety and enjoyment of our members and guests are our top priorities, and we must ensure that the course is in optimal condition before welcoming golfers back onto the greens.

The recent inclement weather has resulted in significant rainfall and subsequent flooding across the course, making it necessary for us to postpone our opening day festivities. While we had hoped to open on schedule, these unforeseen circumstances require us to take the necessary time to allow the course to dry.

At this time, we are tentatively aiming for a Monday opening, but we will continue to closely monitor weather forecasts and course conditions over the coming days. Our dedicated staff will be working diligently to assess the situation, mitigate any damage, and prepare the course for play as soon as possible.

We understand the disappointment that this news may bring, and we share in your frustration. Please know that we are doing everything in our power to expedite the process and ensure that The Muni is ready to welcome you back for another fantastic season.

With that being said!! We will be hosting a Masters Viewing party in the Clubhouse Saturday 11am to 5pm. Come dressed in your Masters Green, enjoy $5 tall boys, and watch your favorite golfers at Augusta.
