We’re excited to announce that the wait is finally over – carts are now available on the course at The Muni! As the weather improves and the course begins to dry out, we’re thrilled to offer the convenience of carts to enhance your golfing experience. However, please note that there are still some wet spots on the course, and we kindly ask all golfers to follow the signage and instructions provided to ensure the safety of both players and the course.

Driving Range Now Open:

In addition to carts, we’re delighted to announce that our driving range is also now open for practice sessions. Whether you’re warming up before a round or fine-tuning your swing, our driving range provides the perfect opportunity to hone your skills and improve your game.

Howling Moon Restaurant:

We’re also excited to announce that the Howling Moon restaurant is back open and ready to serve all your food needs at The Muni! The restaurant is once again serving up delicious meals to fuel your golfing adventures. Whether you’re craving a hearty breakfast before hitting the course or a satisfying post-round meal, the Howling Moon has you covered.

• Ladies League Social: Calling all ladies! Don’t forget to mark your calendars for our Ladies League Social on April 30th at 6:30pm in the clubhouse. Join us for an evening of camaraderie and information as we kick off another fantastic season of golf.

Join the Fun: Register Now for Our 2024 Golf Leagues!

Attention all golfers,

Get ready to tee off another exciting season at The Muni by joining one of our popular golf leagues! Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, our leagues offer a fantastic opportunity to enjoy friendly competition, build camaraderie, and improve your game. Here’s everything you need to know about our upcoming leagues:

Men’s League:

Our Men’s League is back and better than ever! Players will be placed on 10 teams and compete weekly for glory on the greens. The tee sheet will be blocked every Wednesday from 2pm to 7:00pm for Men members but players will have the week to submit their league scores. The league will run from May 8th to August 28th. Registration is now open at the pro shop desk, with a cost of $75 per player. Don’t delay – the registration deadline is April 27th!

Ladies’ League:

Calling all ladies! Join us for a social and information night on April 30th at 6:30pm in the clubhouse to kick off our Ladies’ League. The league officially begins on May 7th, running until August 27th and is open to both members and non-members. The tee sheet will be blocked for league play every Tuesday from 2:30pm to 6:30pm. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow golfers and enjoy a fun-filled season on the course!

Senior League:

Attention club members! Our Senior League is gearing up for another great season starting on May 30th. Mark your calendars for exhibition games on May 16th and 23rd to warm up before the official start. Registration is now open, with a deadline of May 9th. To sign up, contact Steven Nesbitt at [email protected] or text 226-781-6252. If email or text isn’t your thing, don’t worry – there will be a signup sheet available at the clubhouse counter. League games are played on Thursday mornings at 9am.

Please note that we’ll be walking only as the course remains very very wet. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We regret to inform you that The Muni will not be opening for the 2024 season this weekend, due to heavy rains and course flooding. The safety and enjoyment of our members and guests are our top priorities, and we must ensure that the course is in optimal condition before welcoming golfers back onto the greens.

The recent inclement weather has resulted in significant rainfall and subsequent flooding across the course, making it necessary for us to postpone our opening day festivities. While we had hoped to open on schedule, these unforeseen circumstances require us to take the necessary time to allow the course to dry.

At this time, we are tentatively aiming for a Monday opening, but we will continue to closely monitor weather forecasts and course conditions over the coming days. Our dedicated staff will be working diligently to assess the situation, mitigate any damage, and prepare the course for play as soon as possible.

We understand the disappointment that this news may bring, and we share in your frustration. Please know that we are doing everything in our power to expedite the process and ensure that The Muni is ready to welcome you back for another fantastic season.

With that being said!! We will be hosting a Masters Viewing party in the Clubhouse Saturday 11am to 5pm. Come dressed in your Masters Green, enjoy $5 tall boys, and watch your favorite golfers at Augusta.

Opening Delayed

With the rain received over night and more forecasted for the rest of today and tomorrow, we will be delaying our opening day from Friday!! We will be continuing to monitor the weather and the course to see if we will be able to open Saturday or Sunday. Please continue to follow along for these announcements. When we do open it will be walking only until the course can dry.

Tee Sheet Now Open!!

The tee sheet is now Open for our anticipated opening day on April 12th BUT…… the forecast has now changed and they are calling for 25-35mm of rain on Thursday. If this occurs and the course becomes to wet we will have to push opening day back, allowing time for the course to dry. Please follow our social media pages for current updates. The clubhouse will open on the 12th with regular hours regardless, so feel free to drop in to watch The Masters golf, even if we are unable to play!!!

However, it is April in Canada and Mother Nature sometimes has other plans, if the weather doesn’t cooperate and conditions aren’t suitable for golf, we may need to delay our opening OR if the weather and course conditions permit, we may open even sooner. Rest assured, we’ll keep you informed every step of the way and do our best to get you back on the course as soon as possible.
