As we move into the heart of October, frosty mornings have officially arrived. Please remember that when there is frost, all play must remain off the course — including the putting green — until staff give the all-clear. Walking or driving on frozen turf can rupture the plant cells, causing long-term damage to the grass. We appreciate everyone’s patience during these mornings and will always do our best to notify early tee times by email when frost delays occur.

Range Closing

Our driving range will officially close for the season on Monday, October 13th. This allows our team to complete necessary maintenance and prepare the area for winter.

Hosting the PGA of Canada

From Tuesday, October 14th to Friday, October 17th, we are proud to once again host the PGA of Canada for their professional development seminars. During this time, the clubhouse will have limited to no access between 8am and 4pm, but washrooms will remain open through the side doors.

End-of-Season Cleanup

Although there’s still plenty of great golf left, we ask all members to begin preparing for year-end cleanup:

• Lockers and Push Cart Storage: Must be emptied by Sunday, October 26th. The push cart room is used for off-season storage, and last year over 20 carts were left behind. Please ensure everything is removed on time.
• Power Cart Storage: Carts stored in the compound must be removed by Sunday, November 2nd.

Annual General Meeting

We invite all 2025 members of the Stratford Municipal Golf Course to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, November 18th, at 7:30 PM in the clubhouse. This meeting is open exclusively to 2025 members. It’s a great opportunity to discuss the year, share feedback, and plan for the future of our club. We hope to see as many members as possible attend!
