Dear Members and Guests,

It seems Mother Nature is not quite done with us yet. After yesterday’s intense storm, which brought 2 1/4 inches of rain in just three hours, we are facing some challenges with our course conditions once again.

Current Course Conditions:

• Driving Range: The range will remain closed today due to the excessive water from the storm. We will provide updates as soon as conditions improve and we can reopen.
• Carts: We will continue to assess conditions for carts throughout the day. While the chances for carts today are VERY SLIM, today’s forecast of hot and sunny weather may help us drain fast enough to allow carts this afternoon. Please call the pro shop to check for the latest updates on cart availability before arrival.

Despite these setbacks, our team is working diligently to manage the water and maintain the course. Your patience and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated.

What a week it has been! We’ve experienced an incredible 9 inches of rain over five days, resulting in some challenging conditions for our course. Despite these obstacles, our dedicated grounds crew has done an amazing job moving water off the course and getting us back open for play.

Current Course Conditions:

• Carts: Carts remain off the course to prevent damage and allow the grounds to recover.
• Driving Range: The range is still closed as it continues to dry out.
• Expected Updates: We are hopeful to see both carts and the range return for the weekend. Please stay tuned for updates via Chronogolf or call the pro shop for the latest details.

Event Updates:

• Smoke Cole Memorial: Unfortunately, the Smoke Cole Memorial event was canceled due to the weather. We are currently looking at reschedule dates and will update everyone once a new date is set. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting this special event soon.
• Social Night: Don’t forget about our upcoming social night on July 26th from 6pm to 9pm. Enjoy live music on the patio with Rod and Reba. Leagues in Full Swing:

We’re thrilled to announce that all our leagues are now underway. The energy and enthusiasm on the course have been fantastic, and we’re looking forward to an incredible season of golf, competition, and camaraderie.

Junior Camps – Limited Availability:

Parents and young golfers, there’s still some limited availability for our Junior Camps. Our camps are a great way for juniors to learn the game, improve their skills, and make new friends.

Men’s Night BBQ – Use It or Lose It:

We need your help to keep our Men’s Night BBQ meal alive! Unfortunately, participation hasn’t been as strong as we hoped. This BBQ was a beloved staple of our men’s league pre Covid and was brought back by popular demand. However, if participation does not increase, we may have to revert to the normal restaurant menu. Please support the BBQ by joining us for some delicious food and great company – use it or lose it!

Members Scramble and Live Music – June 22nd:

Mark your calendars for June 22nd! Our Members Scramble has been rescheduled, and we are excited to host this fantastic event. Men’s and Ladies’ Leagues Kick Off:

Our men’s and ladies’ leagues have officially begun, and what a start it’s been! We’ve seen some impressive golfing talent on display and enjoyed the friendly competition and camaraderie that make our leagues so special. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store!

Ladies’ League Update:

Ladies, you’ve shown us your dedication to the game with an overwhelming response to our league registration. With a whopping 127 ladies signed up, our ladies’ league is now closed and full. Thank you to everyone who registered – it’s going to be an incredible season on the course! For those who submitted your scorecard to be part of the season long RingerBoard, thank you and I look forward to sharing some results when we get a few more rounds counting towards that 9 hole score.

Men’s League BBQ Returns:

Gentlemen, get ready for some mouthwatering BBQ! Our men’s league is back and better than ever, offering the BBQ portion that we’ve all missed since Covid. Club Opening Scramble Rescheduled:

Due to forecasted inclement weather and low participation, we’ve made the decision to reschedule our Club Opening Scramble for Saturday, June 22nd. We hope this change will allow more people to support this exciting event. Plus, stay tuned for an added bonus – we’ll be looking to add a music night for some post-event entertainment!

Greens Aeration:

In other news, our greens underwent aeration yesterday. This essential cultural practice is vital for maintaining the health and quality of our greens throughout the summer months. It’s one of the many reasons why we’re proud to offer the best greens around!

Locker Availability:

Our locker hold period is now over, and we’re excited to announce that we’re working through the waitlist to provide lockers to those who want one. If you’re interested in securing a locker, please visit the pro shop to get yours today! If you had a locker last season and have yet to pay for your locker, hurry in as it might be gone soon.

Carts Back on Course:

With the course conditions improving, carts have returned to The Muni for your convenience. However, we must stress the importance of driving responsibly to avoid any damage to the course. Due to the lingering water and soft conditions, drivers are kindly reminded to avoid driving erratically and to remain on cart paths for their entirety. We also ask that you remain to the right of the stakes on hole 3 at all times. Your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines is crucial in preserving the quality of our course for all players to enjoy.

Driving Range Reopened:

We’re also excited to reopen our driving range for practice sessions! Whether you’re warming up before a round or fine-tuning your swing, our driving range provides the perfect opportunity to hone your skills. However, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all users, we ask that you please stay between the hitting markers and on the mats at all times today. This helps prevent damage to the wet, soft turf and maintains a safe and organized practice area for everyone to enjoy.

Respectful Usage:
