Hello Everyone

What a May it has been!! With what has seemed like constant rain for most of the month, and a forecast that doesn’t look like it’s about to end anytime soon, we can all cross our fingers for some warmer drier days come June. Bonus though is the course is nice and green!!

Coming up in June we have many tournaments or event bookings, please make sure to check events calendar along with the tee sheet for tee times and availability. Small events wont be posted on the calendar but the big events you will be able to find.

June also brings our Raise The Roof Event feature live music from Strings and Traps along with a pulled pork or chicken dinner. Tickets can be purchased at the clubhouse and proceeds go to helping us break ground on our new maintenance shed come fall. It will be a great night of food and music at the Muni and we look forward to seeing everyone out.

Cheers

Hello Everyone

With May coming up very fast, and bringing the start of our leagues and events I thought I’d send out a quick reminder of these important dates. This Tuesday at 6pm there will be a ladies night meeting for anyone looking to get information about the upcoming year. Our Mens night will be starting on May 3rd and registration is due by April 29th so we can have our team draft on April 30th at 6pm in clubhouse. We are still looking for people to captain the teams, it is a fun night of drafting with zero skill needed, so if your interested please see me.

Also our Annual Members Opening Scramble will take place on May 6th at 11am, the sign up sheet is up on the information board in clubhouse. It is open any members and is a fun day of golf followed by a meal.

We at the Muni are also currently looking for 2 active members to fill vacant spots on our board of directors. As a director you meet monthly to discuss the activities and operations of the golf course, and help in the decision making for the course. If you are interested in joining or more information please contact myself or Bob Hughes.

Here is to finally getting some dry weather.

Hello Everyone

What unbelievable weather we are having in a 4 day span we saw all 4 seasons from snow Friday to 20 degrees Monday, and with all these April showers in between on top of that the course is still extremely wet. I am hoping to have carts on the course by Thursday or Friday at the latest, along with the opening of the Driving Range. Fingers Crossed we don’t see anymore rain.

We will also be holding our annual Men’s league meeting on Wed April 19th at 7pm in the clubhouse for anyone interested in hearing about changes to the league, sign-up or questions or concerns about the league. The sign up deadline for the league is April 29th as Men’s night starts May 3rd.

Lastly HUGE Thank You to everyone that came out and helped with the member clean up day!! the course is in great shape with almost everything cleaned up and looking like summer already, it was great to see the number of people that came out to help make the Muni the best it can be.

The Start of the 2017 season was here this weekend, and very eager golfers made their way to the first tee in great spring weather to shake off the winter rust. Bud and John Dixon Pictured below were the first golfers of the season braving the early morning temperatures, but as the day warmed more golfers made their way out. Sunday was met with a perfect spring day and a completely full tee sheet,  and it was nice to have the buzz of people around the Muni again and the parking lot full!! Riding carts are still not on course but we hope to see some drying and to have them out as soon as possible, with the weather forecast though it looks like it could be middle of next week. The same goes for our range as we can not open until the balls no longer plug so they can be picked.

Volunteer clean up day is still scheduled for this Saturday at 11am we will be supplying lunch and a drink for the volunteers and The Masters will be on for viewing after!!

Thanks to everyone who made it out to the course this weekend and welcome to the 2017 Season at The Muni

Opening Day!!!

Golf season is coming!!! with almost zero snow left and the weather forecast for the next 14 days looking great, we at the Muni are going to push extremely hard to have the flags in and open by April 1st. Of course this will still be weather depending as most the time the weather man can’t get tomorrows forecast right let alone the full 14 day, but lets cross our fingers and hope for the best as we all have that itch to be golfing. I am not positive on a date for the range yet as it still has to dry up to prevent balls from plugging but hopefully its not far behind.

We will be holding our annual member clean up day on April 8th at 11am, anyone who wants to come on out and help with a little raking is more then welcome the more the merrier. (We do have a good number of rakes but if you can bring one with you that would be great) We will supply some lunch and drinks for the volunteers and have The Masters on the T.V.’s for viewing.

Hope too see everyone golfing soon
