Course Conditions
The course is finally drying up and we were able to see carts back on the course yesterday. Please remember to follow all cart signs and keep carts 30 feet away from all tees and greens and use cart paths where possible. There are still a few wet spots to avoid also.
Our Greens aeration yesterday went very well and the green are still in great shape for play. With all this nice weather they should be healed and back to top notch in no time.
Lastly today we are finally able to get the net back up for the range and will see the range open. Please remember to follow signage and hit from between the blocks and off the mat only when stated. Also our Golden Rule of making sure balls don’t leave the property!!!
Cheers
Here comes June!!!
As May comes to an end I’d like to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation during our first weeks open. Hopefully in June we will start to see things like our patio open and a few less restrictions around the course.
June does bring with it the start of some leagues and events.
Our Men’s league registration is now live with the link posted in our last minute minute and on the website. Please make sure to register by June 9th if you are interested in playing.
We also have our 3-Man Scramble on June 26th and Men’s Invitational on July 3rd. Rules and details for both can be found on the events page on the website or on Facebook.
The course has also been in fabulous shape and we will be looking to build on that through June with regular maintenance practices. This may include a few mornings where tee times start later then normal allowing the staff time to work on greens keeping them healthy from all this traffic.

It feels so good to be back!!!!!
Thank you so much to everyone for the great restart to the season. It has been amazing seeing everyone out and smiling.
As we continue to move forward please continue to follow all Covid protocols and hopefully soon we will be able to use our new patio, and have limited numbers back in the clubhouse again.
I am a little behind on the Men’s league and Tournament registrations as other things have stole time during the lockdown, but our Men’s league registration is now live. You can access the registration page but clicking this link https://www.chronogolf.com/club/1087/events/361911 or by visiting our website and the men’s league header.
Registration is done via your Chronogolf account and payment can be made at the golf course with debit or credit.
I plan to have all tournament registration pages also up in the coming days.
Here’s to a great 2021 season and if you have any question about how to register please reach out to me.

Hello Everyone
Just a quick reminder/ refresher email on procedures etc. around the course that can help keep us all safe and provide the best Muni possible.
The use of the golf course has been great with an average of over 250 rounds being booked per day. Our members are getting out regularly to enjoy this great game and many green fee players are able to find times to play as well. The Covid 19 situation has placed a need for all players to work together and make some changes to keep our community safe. As you know we are following precautions in accordance with provincial safety guidelines and we must continue to do so. The Municipal Golf Course Association current list of precautions can be found using this link. https://stratfordmunicipalgolfcourse.com/covid-19-precautions/
All members are reminded to help enforce these precautions within our membership and amongst green fee players. Please make sure you continue to be aware of the precautions and be aware that they will change if Covid 19 regulations change. The staff members at the golf course will be assisting with these reminders. Please help making their jobs smooth by your continued awareness and adherence to the precautions.
One thing of note in the precautions is that the Practice green is open for 2 players at a time for 10 mins before tee time but not for standard practicing and that the only players that should be at the first tee are those teeing off. Players that choose not to use the practice green should wait back from the first tee until it has cleared. This also applies to the groups playing 18 holes as they come off hole number 9. These groups also have the responsibility to determine their actual position for tee off and not to encroach other groups.
Secondly of note is about the rider golf carts. Carts may have two riders as we have dividers and disinfect after every use. This means that individuals in a tee time group should not each take a cart. The most carts that should be rented out in a tee time should be two. Since the dividers have been receiving some damage we request that they are not taken down or moved even if you use the cart as a single rider, or with a family member.
Both the cart sharing and divider damage add extra costs for the Association and with this uncertain time we have to very careful with expenses. We are aware that there have been additional costs this year for the cart dividers, plexiglass in the clubhouse, and disinfectant for the carts. Along with these extra Covid 19 related expenses the income streams from the clubhouse activities is expected to be lower than in the past. Cart sharing and not damaging dividers will assist with fewer expenses.
Another expense that has arisen is broken metal pin caddies do to improper use. These were installed on each hole so that players would not have to touch the flag pole to retrieve their ball from the hole, and have since been replaced with the white section of plastic pipe in each cup. The metal pin caddies were a nice way to get the ball out of the hole and meant that players did not have to bend as far to get the ball, but until we know players will gently lift the device up, and refrain from hitting it up or throwing it up high on the flag pole, they will not be replaced. Again we ask that all players remind others of this reduced wear and tear method of usage.
Lastly cancelling tee times that you may have booked that you will not be using will go a long way in helping everyone find time to golf. If you edit your tee time to either cancel or the correct number of players playing, then spots on the tee sheet will be open for any green fee or member players that want to play.
Cheers

Hello Everyone
I don’t even know where to start with the amount that is going on around the course these days!! As most of you have seen the lawn bowling construction is well underway, along with the construction of our new Driving range tee. I do apologize for the shortened range at the time or very full parking lot of machines and dirt etc. but when this is all done we will have a greatly improved facility. We also saw a huge Tent up this past weekend for our former worker Dori Nelson and member Joey Hishons wedding, Congratulations you two on your amazing day and thank you for choosing the Muni to host your special day!! Lastly on the construction front you will notice that this week we have started to remove and replace our asphalt entrance, it had become an eye sore over the years with ruts down the sides etc. Our new 10 foot wide concrete entrance will give us a fresh new look or first impression to guests along with being double wide so cart traffic can go both ways without leaving the paths. Again I apologize for any inconvenience while this is being installed but we will have to us the main entrance till this is complete.
Our Jr. League team tryouts began last night from 4:30 to 6:30pm and we will have 2 more remaining practices on Monday June 18th and Monday June 25th before the team is selected and event dates start in July!! We encourage anyone who wishes to participate on the team to attend these dates.
Lastly our events board in clubhouse is filling up please make sure to check it for event details, sign up sheets etc. We currently have our Auction Scramble, and Men’s invitational coming up very quick, along with our weekly men’s and ladies leagues and Weekly Sr. Games.
