Muni Minute

Just a few Muni announcements as we move towards the end of August.

Congratulations to Melanie Hughes on becoming our 2021 Ladies Club Champion this past weekend and Cheryl Chesla our 2021 Sr. Ladies Club Champion. The ladies had a great day with a meal and prizes following. Thank you to everyone who participated.

On Friday our first pub night in two years took place with Jack and the Hart Beats playing live music on the patio and a great meal put on by our Board members and volunteers. Thank you to everyone who came out for the night and supported the club and to the volunteers who helped organize and run this event. We look forward to many more pub nights moving forward on our new patio with food coming from our new restaurant.

That is correct The Muni will have a new restaurant on site very soon. 9Teen at The Muni is looking to open September 1st and we couldn’t be happier to finally have food options daily for our members and guest to enjoy on our new patio and on the course. We will do a full announcement and introduction in the coming days.

This season we partnered with GolfGivesBack.ca and Cobra golf to help raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of Canada and also give kids who need clubs, free sets to use while at The Muni. Our partnership has now ended and the clubs will go on sale as used clubs starting today. These will be sold on a first come first serve basis and once they are gone they are gone.

Lastly tomorrow we will be Aerating our greens the course will remain closed till 2pm to allow for this to happen. We apologize for any inconvenience but it is a must in keeping our greens healthy all year long and with the nice weather we should be back to normal conditions in no time at all.

Here’s to a great end to August.
