Muni Minute

Hello everyone,

I am getting some emails about the Chronogolf welcome and verifying email that was sent Friday. This email was only sent to anyone who hasn’t had a verified Chronogolf account before. If you have used the email provided us to make a tee time at any Chronogolf using golf course then your account would already be verified. St Mary’s Country Club being the closest course to use the system. Or if after purchase you downloaded the app and verified yourself before the email was sent, you too would not of received this email.

For anyone who is still struggling here are some pictures with step by step instructions for getting on.

Step 1: Visit Chronogolf.ca and click Log in

Step 2: Try logging in with the email you supplied us and any password it might be. If that doesn’t work click Member of a club using Chronogolf/ Read the instructions for Members. (Circled in photo below)

Step 3: Read/Try all instructions, and if all else fails contact Kyle as your email may have been enter incorrectly.

I hope this helps anyone who is still struggling with getting on the new system and I am love seeing the tee sheet start to fill for opening day next Saturday.

Hello Everyone

With a week of what seemed like June weather and courses in the area starting to open up, I just thought I would take this moment to let everyone know what we have been up to around the Muni.

Many driving by might have seen numerous dump trucks, gravel piles and big machinery, as our new patio construction is now underway. We are hoping to see it completed by the end of next week but it will be weather depending. We have also been able to take this time to finish all the course clean up from the mass tree removal we saw over the winter and our bunker renovations. *Please know that if we felt we could of opened, we would of, but with the machinery in and out of driveway and around clubhouse we didn’t deem it safe.* We also want to give everyone good playing conditions with cut greens and a clean course, and with that being said The Muni wintered beautifully and we are excited for everyone to see the course and changes come opening day.

Opening Day? When might that be? We are excited to announce that are goal for Opening day will be Saturday April 3rd. All members will receive a welcome email today from Chrono golf our new tee sheet provider with account information, and a small tutorial on how it works. This also means that the tee sheet with be live for booking!!! Please note that on the tee sheet it states that tee times booked are dependent on weather and course opening, but hopefully we see nothing but nice weather and everyone out enjoying themselves come the 3rd.

Lastly we hosted our first ever fitting day on Tuesday with Cobra golf, where we saw 12 players all be fitted and purchase new clubs from our Muni Pro shop. It was a great day with Cobra staff members on site dialing in perfect shafts and clubs for our players and we even received a message after from a happy customer stating “I feel like a kid who just got home from Disney Land” Our next fitting is April 22nd from 11pm till 5pm on the Muni Range please contact myself or Scott to reserve your spot as they are filling up fast.

I look forward to seeing everyone out soon

Hello Everyone

As we start to see Spring like weather we have been working hard to get The Muni ready for another season. The golf course has wintered great and the upcoming beautiful weather did have us consider opening for a few days but with the extended forecast still cold, with chances of snow, we have decided to remain closed and use these nice days to continue preparing the course, so that we have clean playing surfaces and cut grass when we do finally open. If the forecast changes we will be ready to open though and it’s looking like it might be a very very early start to the year with lots of April golf.

Our yearly tournament/ league schedule has also been set, so save these dates in your calendar:

June 26th- 3 Man Cash Scramble ***New Event***

July 3rd- Men’s Invitational

July 25th- Sr Men’s Club Championship

August 7th-8th- Men’s Club Championship

August 22nd- Ladies Club Championship

September 11th-12th- Romeo Cup

We will also have our Men’s League operating again this season with some minor changes due to Covid and tee sheet availability. All information can be found on the website under the Men’s leagues section.

Our Monday morning Jr. Program will also see changes due to Covid with the regular program still not operating. We will be offer two 4 day golf camps from 8am till 12pm with limited numbers from June 29th to July 2nd and August 3rd to August 6th. Cost is $250 and registration and sign up info can be found on the website on the Jr golf league section.

Lastly we are now in the clubhouse every Monday to Friday from 8am till 4pm for anyone who still wishes to come in and get their 2021 membership.
